✔️ Description: Vilanterol Trifenatate + Fluticasone Furoate + Umeclidinium Bromide

Respimax Pro 200 combines three active ingredients: Fluticasone furoate (a corticosteroid), Umeclidinium (an anticholinergic), and Vilanterol (a long-acting beta-agonist). Together, these components help relax and open the airways in the lungs, making breathing easier.

Respimax Pro 200 is intended for inhalation only. Use this medication as directed by your doctor and continue it for the prescribed duration based on your health condition. Common side effects include cold symptoms, sore throat, raised patches in the mouth or throat due to fungal infections (thrush), hoarseness, cough, headache, back pain, frequent and painful urination, and nasal congestion. Most side effects are mild and tend to resolve over time, but consult your doctor if they persist or worsen.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to Vilanterol, Fluticasone furoate, Umeclidinium, or any other component of this medication. Additionally, notify your doctor if you have severe milk protein or lactose allergies. This medication may cause blurred vision and headaches, so use caution when driving or operating heavy machinery until you know how it affects you. Avoid exposure to people with chickenpox or measles while using this medication, and contact your doctor immediately if exposed.

✔️ Respimax Pro 200 is intended for:

• Maintenance treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
• Maintenance treatment of asthma in patients aged 18 years and older.

It is not suitable for relief from acute bronchospasms.

✔️ Use in Special Populations

• Children & Adolescents: Not recommended; safety and efficacy in individuals under 18 are not established.
• Elderly: No dose adjustment is necessary, but sensitivity in some older patients may vary.
• Renal Impairment: Not studied.
• Hepatic Impairment: Not studied.

✔️ Pharmacology

This inhalation powder contains a combination of fluticasone furoate (a corticosteroid), umeclidinium (an anticholinergic), and vilanterol (a long-acting beta-agonist, or LABA). Vilanterol’s bronchodilatory effect is largely due to stimulation of adenyl cyclase, which increases cyclic AMP, relaxes bronchial muscles, and inhibits hypersensitivity mediators. Fluticasone furoate’s mechanism is not fully understood but reduces inflammation—a key factor in COPD and asthma—by acting on various cell types and mediators involved in inflammatory processes. Umeclidinium, a long-acting muscarinic antagonist, blocks M3 receptors in airway smooth muscle, leading to bronchodilation.

✔️ Dosage & Administration

This capsule is for inhalation only and must not be swallowed. Open the capsule only immediately before use with the inhalation device. Rinse mouth with water after inhalation to lower the risk of oropharyngeal candidiasis.

• Adults (18+ years): Use at the same time daily, not more than once every 24 hours. For sudden breathing issues between doses, use an inhaled short-acting beta-agonist (SABA) for immediate relief.
  • COPD Maintenance: 1 inhalation capsule once daily.
  • Asthma Maintenance: 1 inhalation capsule once daily.

✔️ Drug Interactions

• CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ketoconazole): Use with caution; may cause systemic corticosteroid and cardiovascular effects.
• MAO inhibitors and tricyclic antidepressants: Use with caution; may enhance the vascular effects of vilanterol.
• Beta-blockers: Use with caution; they may interfere with bronchodilatory effects and cause severe bronchospasm.
• Diuretics: Use with caution, as beta-agonists may worsen ECG changes or hypokalemia associated with non–potassium-sparing diuretics.
• Anticholinergics: Avoid use with other anticholinergic drugs.

✔️ Contraindications

• Not for primary treatment of status asthmaticus or acute COPD or asthma episodes.
• Contraindicated in patients with severe milk protein hypersensitivity or allergies to any ingredients.

✔️ Side Effects

• COPD: Common side effects (≥1%) include upper respiratory infections, pneumonia, bronchitis, oral candidiasis, headache, back pain, joint pain, flu, sinusitis, pharyngitis, rhinitis, altered taste, constipation, urinary tract infection, diarrhea, gastroenteritis, oropharyngeal pain, cough, and hoarseness.
• Asthma: Common side effects (≥2%) include pharyngitis, upper respiratory infections, bronchitis, sinusitis, urinary tract infections, rhinitis, flu, headache, and back pain.

✔️ Pregnancy & Lactation

Limited data on the use of this medication during pregnancy and lactation.

✔️ Precautions & Warnings

• LABA monotherapy can increase the risk of severe asthma-related events.
• Not for use in patients with acutely worsening COPD or asthma.
• Avoid combination with other LABA-containing medications to prevent overdose.
• Candida infections may occur in the mouth; advise patients to rinse their mouth after use.
• Increased pneumonia risk in COPD patients; monitor for symptoms.
• Discontinue if paradoxical bronchospasm occurs and switch to alternative therapy.
• Caution is advised in patients with cardiovascular disorders, urinary retention issues, and conditions like prostatic hyperplasia, bladder obstruction, convulsions, thyrotoxicosis, diabetes, and ketoacidosis.
